A short personal story about using 3D printing to replace a missing plastic part on a soldering iron stand. The author took caliper measurements, designed the replacement part in a CAD tool called Studio, exported a mesh, prepared it with Formlabs' Preform software, and printed it on a Form 2 SLA printer using high-temp resin. The part fit perfectly.
