Five architectural principles for building governed, trustworthy multi-agent AI systems in enterprise settings, illustrated through Redpanda's own Redleader Slackbot. The principles cover: persisting state before reasoning (using durable event logs), separating cognition from control (orchestrator reasons, policy gates act), embedding human authority structurally in the event stream, bounding and observing outcomes via real-time event streams, and treating continuous learning as a first-class concern by feeding human feedback signals back into the system. The post promotes Redpanda's Agentic Data Plane (ADP) as the infrastructure enabling these patterns.
