Firefox’s free VPN rollout finally reached me – is it any good?

Firefox has begun a gradual rollout of a free built-in VPN (IP protection) feature for desktop users in the UK, USA, France, and Germany. It routes browser traffic through a Fastly proxy under an encrypted TLS connection, hiding your real IP from websites and ISPs. It requires a free Mozilla account, provides 50 GB of bandwidth per month, and allows per-site exclusions. It is browser-only (not system-wide), does not allow country selection, and cannot bypass geo-restrictions. Mozilla states it does not sell user data or inject ads. It is suitable for everyday browsing and public Wi-Fi privacy, but not a replacement for a full VPN service.
