as per me the best approach is to put the entire path of the file in database, instead of just putting the name of the uploaded file.

it’s more simple like
$request-&gt;file(‘file’)-&gt;store(‘path’, ‘public|local|s3’);

I prefer a memory-efficient approach like streaming the file to disk using <a href="https://laravel.com/docs/11.x/filesystem#automatic-streaming" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Storage::putFile()</a>

When I was junior dev. I used to use 3–4 lines of code to get a file path. 🤣🤣
