This certification removes a major barrier for using Rust in safety-critical and embedded systems across regulated industries like automotive, medical devices, and industrial automation. The core library subset is essential for no_std applications and embedded development. Companies including Sonair and Kiteshield are already integrating the certified toolchain into safety-critical products, with Ferrocene supporting multiple safety standards including ISO 26262 (ASIL D) and IEC 61508 (SIL 3).
