Fermyon Technologies has applied to donate an open source platform called SpinKube for building, deploying, and managing WebAssembly (Wasm) applications on Kubernetes clusters to the CNCF. The platform aims to simplify the development of cloud-native applications by abstracting away the underlying Kubernetes platform. Wasm provides a portable binary instruction format for building lightweight applications that can be deployed on multiple server platforms.
