Fedora Workstation 44 Beta has been benchmarked on a Framework Desktop powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 'Strix Halo'. Testing compared Fedora 43 stock, Fedora 43 with latest updates, and Fedora 44 Beta. Because Fedora 43 already rolled to the same v6.19 kernel as Fedora 44 Beta, kernel-level performance differences are minimal. Some performance regressions were observed in Fedora 44 Beta versus Fedora 43. A notable change in Fedora 44 is the shift from GCC 15 to GCC 16, ahead of GCC 16.1's official stable release, continuing Fedora's tradition of shipping cutting-edge compilers before other distributions.
