Fedora Asahi Remix 44 is now available, bringing Fedora Linux 44 to Apple Silicon Macs. Key changes include retirement of vendored Mesa and virglrenderer packages in favor of upstream Fedora repositories, KDE Plasma 6.6 as the flagship desktop with a new Plasma Setup wizard replacing Calamares, and Plasma Login Manager replacing SDDM for new installs. A GNOME 50 variant, Fedora Server variant, and Minimal image are also available. Existing Fedora Asahi Remix 42/43 users can upgrade via KDE Plasma Discover or DNF System Upgrade; GNOME Software upgrades are not supported.
