Cisco DevNet's Month of Smart Connections series covered four practical demos on vendor-agnostic network automation. Episode 1 used Cisco NSO with RESTCONF to manage multi-vendor configurations. Episode 2 compared Python scripting, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines all built on OpenConfig and gNMI. Episode 3 extended Robot Framework into a network testing framework using custom Python keywords. Episode 4 built an AI ChatOps agent using LibreChat, MCP servers (pyATS, NetBox, GitHub, Draw.io), and Docker Compose to automate inventory sync, device audits, config deployment, and diagram generation through a single chat interface.
