AI advocates often use fear-based messaging, warning developers they'll lose their jobs if they don't immediately master AI technology. This approach is counterproductive and false. Just as developers don't need to be Linux experts to use containers, they don't need to become AI experts overnight. As the industry naturally adopts AI practices, developers will absorb the necessary knowledge organically. The constant pressure and FOMO tactics are unnecessary—developers will be fine.

Fear is not advocacy

The fear factor is a desparate attempt at trying to generate revenue for LLM’s, since their profit margin is non existant and their investors are crying about dividends. Thus they are trying to offset the differance with a fear driven marketing strategy, similar to what politicians use to get elected. Don’t fall for the marketing hype and fear campaigns.

Very nice! I’d also like to add that the “ai tech” to master is not that complicated and if you have experience in the industry you won’t have too much problems to catch up.
Also the paradox is: the more it would get complicated we are the more safe we are.
