MITES programs for middle and high school students evolve to increase confidence, create community, and offer a challenging foundation in STEM topics. MITES Summer, MITES Semester, and MITES Saturdays are the outreach programs that provide college preparation activities, challenging coursework, and community building for underrepresented students. The programs include workshops, design challenges, mentor meetings, and social events. The programs are staffed by faculty, professionals, and alumni mentors. Over 4,000 students applied to MITES in 2024, the largest applicant pool in its history.
