Exadel buys London consultancy Tangent to bolt experience design onto its AI engineering line

Exadel, the Tampa-based software services firm owned by Sun Capital Partners, has acquired London digital experience consultancy Tangent. The deal folds Tangent's UX, product, and MarTech engineering capabilities into Exadel's Digital Experiences practice, with Tangent CEO Leigh Gammons becoming a managing director and SVP. The acquisition aims to combine Exadel's AI-native backend engineering with Tangent's front-end design expertise under one contract for enterprise clients. The two companies also announced a joint AI accelerator programme. The move positions Exadel as an end-to-end alternative to Big Four consultancies, as AI agent products from foundation labs increasingly encroach on traditional consulting workflows.
