Exa is a new command line tool for the Linux operating system. It is similar to the popular ls command, but with more options. Exa can be used in conjunction with other commands to make it easier to use. It can also be used by itself to show a list of files.

exa: A Modern Replacement for the ls Command

This is what I’m using as alias:  alias ls=“exa --icons -b --header -H --git --octal-permissions --color=always -h”

The exa replacement command for ls provides more features that are very useful. The fact that it is written and executed in Rust is good to know.
