Game development veterans of Radical Entertainment and Hothead Games are spearheading a new studio named New Radical Games.

Veterans from the now-defunct Radical Entertainment and Hothead Games studios have co-founded New Radical Games, led by Ian Wilkinson as CEO and Tim Bennison as COO. Wilkinson originally co-founded Radical Entertainment in 1991, which was known for titles like The Simpsons: Hit & Run and the Prototype series, before it was acquired by Vivendi and later Activision. Hothead Games, where both later worked, filed for bankruptcy in December 2024 after failing to secure publishing contracts for a triple-A project. The new studio's website indicates a focus on remastering classic games as well as work-for-hire development, porting, and co-development across mobile and console platforms.
