Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 series (S26, S26 Plus, S26 Ultra) at its Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco. The S26 Ultra features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 200MP wide camera with f/1.4 aperture, and a new privacy display that can hide parts of the screen from onlookers. Prices start at $899, up $100 from last year. Google previewed an agentic version of Gemini capable of multi-step tasks like ordering food, plus an updated Circle to Search with multi-object recognition. Samsung also announced a Perplexity AI partnership, pre-loading the app and using its APIs for tasks like setting alarms and powering browser search. Two new earbuds, Galaxy Buds4 ($179) and Buds4 Pro ($250), were also introduced.
