Everyone Is Religious—Even You

The author presents 11 diagnostic elements (God, Enemy, Human Nature, Heaven, Epistemology, Authority, Ethics, Membership, Narrative, Liturgy, and Camouflage) that predict how adherents behave, what they sacrifice, and whether their system will endure. The framework is applied to various belief systems including Christianity, consumerism, therapeutic individualism, and wokeism, with a detailed case study examining modern universities as religious institutions. The author argues that everyone operates within a religious framework, whether acknowledged or not, and that recognizing this structure enables better understanding of personal commitments and institutional behavior.
