Deepinder Goyal is stepping down as CEO of Eternal (Zomato's parent company) and handing leadership to Albinder Dhindsa, CEO of quick-commerce division Blinkit. Goyal will remain as vice chairman to focus on higher-risk experimentation outside the constraints of a public company. The transition reflects Blinkit's growing dominance, with its net order value jumping 121% year-over-year to $1.45 billion, while Eternal reported 73% profit growth. Goyal co-founded Zomato in 2008, expanded into food delivery in 2015, and acquired Blinkit in 2022 for $568 million.
