Espressif announced the ESP32-E22, a Radio Co-Processor designed to add wireless connectivity to other systems via PCIe 2.1 or SDIO 3.0 interfaces. The chip features Wi-Fi 6E across all three bands with 160 MHz channel bandwidth and 2×2 MU-MIMO, plus Bluetooth Classic and BLE 5.4 support. It runs on two proprietary RISC-V cores at 500 MHz. Engineering samples are currently available to select parties, with public release timing still unclear.
