Escape, an offensive security engineering platform, has raised an $18M Series A led by Balderton Capital with participation from Uncorrelated Ventures, IRIS, and Y Combinator. The company is building AI agent-driven security tooling to replace legacy scanners, offering three core products: Attack Surface Management, Business-Logic-Aware DAST, and AI Pentesting. The platform aims to give small security teams continuous, automated discovery, testing, and remediation capabilities at scale. Escape claims 2,000+ security teams as customers and cites a 393% ROI for one customer, with testing time reduced from five days to five hours. The funding will be used to deepen AI agent capabilities, expand multi-step attack scenario coverage, and grow the team across the US and Europe.
