Erlang/OTP 28.4 has been released as the third maintenance patch for OTP 28. Key highlights include SSH support for the post-quantum cryptography key exchange algorithm mlkem768x25519-sha256 (a hybrid ML-KEM-768 + X25519 algorithm), and a new persistent_term:put_new/2 function in ERTS. A notable potential incompatibility involves httpc:request/4,5 gaining a new autoretry option that changes default retry behavior from infinite retries to a single retry before returning an error.
