Epic Games is raising the price of V-Bucks, Fortnite's in-game currency, citing increased operating costs. Starting March 19, players will receive fewer V-Bucks per dollar across all purchase tiers — for example, $8.99 will now yield 800 V-Bucks instead of 1,000. To offset the impact, Epic is introducing a 20% Epic Rewards cashback program and simultaneously lowering the V-Bucks cost of the Battle Pass and other passes. The move follows a broader industry trend of price increases across hardware, software, and subscriptions.
