Epic Games increases Fortnite V-Bucks "to help pay the bills"

Epic Games is raising the price of Fortnite's V-Bucks in-game currency starting March 19, 2026, citing increased operating costs. The four V-Bucks packs will deliver fewer V-Bucks for the same dollar amounts, and Fortnite Crew subscribers will receive 800 V-Bucks per month instead of 1,000. Bonus currency rewards are being removed from the main battle pass, though the pass price drops from 1,000 to 800 V-Bucks. The three other game passes (OG, Lego, Music) also see a 200 V-Bucks price decrease. The changes come after Epic's legal dispute with Google over app store fees was resolved, with fees reduced to 20%.
