Cisco Secure Email Gateway now offers two add-on capabilities to address threats that bypass traditional detection. Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) opens email links in a remote, sandboxed environment so malicious web content never reaches the user's machine. Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR) strips active content — macros, embedded scripts, OLE objects, JavaScript — from attachments and rebuilds clean, usable documents. CDR also rewrites URLs and QR codes inside attachments to route through RBI. Both features are policy-driven and integrate natively into existing SEG workflows, shifting email security from detect-and-react to isolate-and-neutralize.
