AWS Network firewall now supports expanded managed rules from AWS marketplace partners, with rule groups supporting up to 10 million domain name indicators and 1 million IP addresses. Key updates include: infoblox expanding domain name indicators for high-risk domains, lumen adding rules to stop command and control attacks, and ThreatSTOP adding managed rules for sanctions compliance (including EU, Japan, and UN coverage). These managed rules are now available in 9 additional AWS regions. Partners offering managed rules include Check Point, fortinet, infoblox, lumen, rapid7, ThreatSTOP, and trend micro.
