Dynatrace has released 'Dynatrace for AI', an open-source collection of agent skills and prompt templates that give AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, Cline, etc.) domain expertise to work accurately with Dynatrace. Agent skills are SKILL.md files loaded on demand without bloating context windows. The first release covers DQL query fundamentals, observability across services/traces/logs, infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS), and dashboard creation. Prompt templates for performance regression analysis, daily standups, and incident troubleshooting are also included. Skills work alongside the Dynatrace MCP server or dtctl CLI to enable live queries. Installation is a single npx command or Claude Code plugin activation.
