Dynamic Music Pill, a GNOME Shell extension for media control, has added lyrics support as its headline new feature. Users can view synced lyrics in a scrollable popover by clicking album art, or optionally display auto-scrolling lyrics directly in the panel pill in sync with playback. Clicking a lyric line jumps to that position in the track. Other updates include album title display, HH:MM:SS duration format support, fully asynchronous album art loading with improved caching, duplicate entry removal in the recently played list, and a fix for duplicate pill display with Dash to Dock and Ubuntu Dock. The extension supports GNOME 45+ (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and later) and works with any MPRIS-compatible Linux music player.
