A developer shares their experience upgrading a Phoenix LiveView app from version 1.7.21 to 1.8.3 and Elixir 1.18 to 1.19 using Tidewave with Claude Code. The process involved feeding diffs from phoenixdiff.org to the AI assistant, which applied changes and adapted them to the project. Key challenges included Tidewave getting stuck on large prompts, Claude Code initially skipping daisyUI integration due to incomplete context, and terminal environment refresh issues with asdf version management.
