Canal+, the French media group that owns DStv parent MultiChoice, has signed a multi-year deal with Google Cloud to deploy generative AI across its production and streaming operations. The partnership will give production teams access to Google's Veo 3 video AI for pre-visualising scenes and recreating historical moments from archival photos. Canal+ will also use Google AI to index its content library and improve personalised recommendations on its streaming app. Rollout across European and African markets is set to begin in June 2026, as Canal+ targets up to 100 million subscribers by 2030.
