Dev.to is a community platform for developers, offering resources, discussions, and networking opportunities to empower individuals in their coding journey. Developers can learn new programming languages, frameworks, and tools, engage in discussions on best practices, and share their experiences with fellow developers to enhance their skills and grow their professional network.

 skill bars are an illogical style of presentation and completely meaningless. They are subjective and unreliable because people are bad in rating themselves. When considering graphics can't be read by machines (ATS systems), skill bars seem to be quite a large waste of space. The only thing what matters in the skill section is what you have worked with before.

Do not put skill bars on your resume!

<p>TLDR; The OP suggests to show on your resume the exact skill level suitable for the type of skill(“basic”, “ecperienced”, …) instead of using the skills bars. Additionally you can confirm those skills by adding certifications, degrees, … or by showing projects you worked on</p>
