Cisco and Piramal Swasthya partnered on Project Niramay to bring digital healthcare infrastructure to three underserved districts in Assam, India. The initiative equips health facilities with connectivity, video conferencing, and cybersecurity tools, while using the AMRIT platform to manage patient data and enable telemedicine consultations. A hub-and-spoke model connects rural patients with specialists remotely, eliminating long travel times. Between 2021-2023, the project created 110,000+ digital health records, identified 16,500+ chronic disease cases, and served 2,600+ expectant mothers. The model demonstrates how digital infrastructure can bridge healthcare access gaps in rural regions.
