DG Matrix has raised $60M in a Series A round led by Engine Ventures to commercialize its Interport device, a solid-state transformer that acts as a power router for data centers. A single Interport unit handles up to 2.4 MW, aggregating power from solar, batteries, and the grid, while replacing bulky legacy equipment and eliminating the need for UPS systems. It reduces power conversion footprint from two 4x30-foot skids to a single 4x4-foot unit and improves efficiency from 82–90% to 95–98%. Initial units ship to customers in June 2026. Beyond data centers, the company targets EV fleet charging and off-grid electrification for remote communities.
