In preparation for .NET 9, .NET MAUI 9 introduces new controls, enhances existing ones, and deprecates certain APIs for improved performance. Notable deprecated features include the Frame control and the Microsoft.Maui.Controls.Compatibility namespace. Developers are encouraged to transition to the Border control and Grid layout respectively. Measurement methods have also been updated, recommending the new Measure method over the deprecated OnMeasure. Additionally, the MainPage property is set to be replaced by the Page property on a Window.
