Scopes in Koin provide a cleaner alternative to qualifiers for managing dependency variants and lifecycles. A scope is an isolated container with its own lifecycle that can hold scoped singletons and resolve global dependencies. The article demonstrates how to define platform-specific scopes (iOS and Android) that inject different implementations without cluttering code with qualifiers. It covers runtime parameters for configuration, scope creation and closure, and explicit lifecycle management in Compose.
