For nearly a decade, the MIT Warrior-Scholar Project STEM boot camp has helped current and veteran enlisted service members prepare to go to college. The MIT Warrior-Scholar Project runs an intensive one-week STEM boot camp to help enlisted military veterans and service members transition to higher education. The program simulates undergraduate life with faculty lectures, problem sets, lab tours, and college success workshops. Since 2017, over 120 scholars have participated, with 93% going on to attend top universities. The boot camp helps veterans recognize how their military experience translates to academic skills, building confidence through hands-on learning and mentorship from veteran students already succeeding in higher education.
