Deezer is making its AI music detection tool available to other streaming platforms to combat the surge of AI-generated tracks and streaming fraud. The tool, which has 99.8% accuracy, identifies AI-generated music from models like Suno and Udio, removes it from recommendations, and demonetizes it. Deezer reports receiving 60,000 AI tracks daily, with 85% of streams from fully AI-generated tracks deemed fraudulent. The move comes as the music industry grapples with copyright concerns and fraud, with platforms like Bandcamp banning AI music while major labels have struck licensing deals with AI startups.
