The Electron project is entering a month-long quiet period in December 2025, during which regular maintenance activities will pause while maintainers take a break. The team highlights 2025 achievements including shipping 6 major versions, migrating to Chromium's siso build system, revamping the releases page, completing two Google Summer of Code projects, and onboarding four new maintainers. Security releases and Code of Conduct enforcement will continue during the break, but regular releases, meetings, and pull request reviews will be paused until January 2026.
