Debezium 3.5.0.CR1 is now available with several breaking changes and new features. The major breaking change is the reorganization of core modules: debezium-core is split into debezium-config and debezium-connector-common, and debezium-transforms and debezium-common are renamed. New features include improved Oracle database version resolution using JDBC driver metadata, incremental snapshot support for the CockroachDB connector, a non-native compatibility layer in Debezium Quarkus Extensions for connectors without native build support, and a new Quarkus Hibernate Cache module for automated L2 cache invalidation via CDC. The Debezium Platform also gains connection validators and a virtualized TreeView for better UI performance with large datasets. In total, 41 issues were resolved in this release.
