Debezium 2.6.0.Final has been released, featuring dozens of new features, bug fixes, and improvements. The release includes breaking changes for MySQL, MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, Vitess, and Container Images. Additionally, new features and improvements have been introduced, such as a new connector for Db2 for iSeries, Java 17 as a compile-time requirement, the asynchronous embedded engine, unified snapshot modes, search collections API, improved event timestamp precision, and more. Debezium 2.6 paves the way for the transition to Debezium 3, which will require Java 17 as a runtime requirement.
