Great post! I totally agree with your concerns. Generative AI is awesome, but AWS can’t forget about the core tools and infrastructure that made us love the platform in the first place. We need a balance to keep building scalable and maintainable apps!

Companies try to ride the trend, for better and for worse

Pretty sure it’s because slapping “AI” to everything make it more appealing to non-tech ppl like investors and exces.
Gen AI is trending and is predicted to be popular and will make lots of money. Investors love money

Is this what happens when every company gets hyped out on AI and turns their entire business model into a chat bot that no one even asked for?
