Blackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve 21 in public beta ahead of NAB 2026. The headline feature is a new Photo page that brings node-based color grading tools — including primary correction, curves, qualifiers, and power windows — to still photo editing, positioning it as a potential Adobe Lightroom alternative. Other additions include AI-powered tools like IntelliSearch and CineFocus, over 70 new Fusion graphics via the Krokodove toolset, Fairlight audio improvements, and MultiMaster trim upgrades. Blackmagic also announced Fairlight Live, a software-based live audio mixer supporting spatial audio and SMPTE-2110, and Blackmagic Camera for iOS 3.3 with Apple Watch support and ATEM camera control.
