Datalore 2026.1 introduces three major updates. Data explorer cells let users inspect dataframes, filter data, create columns via SQL expressions, and build charts (line, bar, scatter, etc.) without writing code. Instance-wide BYOK for AI allows On-Premises administrators to configure their own AI provider (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or OpenAI-compatible APIs including self-hosted models) to meet security and data governance requirements. Sidecar containers in Kubernetes deployments improve security by isolating privileged mounting operations (FUSE, WebDAV) in a separate container, so the notebook agent container can run without elevated privileges.
