Datadog has acquired Propolis, an autonomous QA testing platform that uses AI agents to explore applications, identify user journeys, and verify outcomes across complex, nondeterministic environments. Unlike traditional testing methods that rely on manual, deterministic paths, Propolis employs swarms of synthetic users to test goal-oriented outcomes and automatically self-heals tests to maintain coverage. The integration will combine Propolis's autonomous testing capabilities with Datadog's production monitoring data (traces, logs, RUM) to create an end-to-end automated testing solution that infers user intent from actual application usage and embeds quality signals directly into CI/CD pipelines.
