This marks the fourth change of ownership for Jagex in the last eight years. The acquisition comes after Carlyle Group, the previous owner, decided to sell Jagex, which had a valuation of up to £1 billion. Under Carlyle Group’s stewardship, Jagex experienced significant growth and achieved new heights with its key RuneScape titles, boasting a community of 2.4 million active subscribers. The purchase price for the acquisition was not disclosed.</p>
