Cute Mobs and More - All the News in the Tiny Takeover Drop!

Minecraft Java Edition 26.1 (Tiny Takeover) introduces updated models, sounds, and hitboxes for nearly all baby mobs in the game, including farm animals, hostile mobs, aquatic creatures, and nether mobs. New craftable items include nametags (metal nugget + paper) and golden dandelions (dandelion + gold nuggets), which can pause or resume baby mob aging. Stone and deepslate can now be cut into cobbled forms on a stonecutter. Note blocks placed on copper blocks produce trumpet sounds that vary by oxidation level. Villager trade logic is now deterministic per seed, master librarians no longer sell nametags, and wandering traders can now spawn in snowy biomes. Performance improvements include 4GB default RAM allocation and a switch to the ZGC garbage collector, plus an upgrade to Java 25. UI changes include a new world options screen in the pause menu and an updated chat screen.
