credcheck v4.6, a PostgreSQL extension for credential validation and password policy enforcement, has been released as a security fix. Users running v4.5 are urged to upgrade immediately. The release addresses a vulnerability related to `ALTER ROLE current_role` that could allow superuser password changes when `credcheck.password_valid_warning` is not defined or set to 0. Users leveraging the password expiration warning feature must also run `event_trigger.sql` in each affected database. A PostgreSQL restart is required after upgrading.
