Pretty good article. However, I strongly discourage using the REST package for adding commands. This requires you to add another package that comes with <code>discord.js</code>.
Instead, you can use the <a href="https://discordjs.dev/docs/packages/discord.js/14.14.1/ApplicationCommandManager:Class" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">ApplicationCommandManager</a> from <code>client.application.commands</code>. Like most managers, it includes <code>create</code>, <code>set</code>, and <code>delete</code>. Also, it accepts the payload you sent to the REST package so it’s a small tweak.

Fine article, but it seems that every single guide out there that talks about discord bots in node.js all use the same library. Discord.js
I would like to see someone use the actual API provided by discord.
