They are often animated (instead of transform) and cause layout shifts and recalculation which can literally kill some old/not updated browsers &amp; computers (especially those in offices of state employees). If such animation is used for example on the order page (dropdowns, random toggles for gift wrappings, order steps visibility), it can cause the interuption of buying process (which is even more costly).</p>
