Snowflake has introduced a public preview of its git integration feature, allowing users to securely connect a git repo to their Snowflake account. This integration provides a 'source of truth' for SQL scripts, Snowpark functions and procedures, Native Apps, and Streamlit Apps. Users can access and read files from their git repo, with the ability to alter and commit files back into the repo coming in the future. The git integration can be used for various purposes such as executing SQL scripts and tasks, using Snowpark Python, and building Streamlit apps.
