Commvault has launched AI Protect, a new product that discovers and monitors AI agents running across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, flags anomalous behavior, and can roll back agent configurations or corrupted data to a known good state. Two companion products were also announced: Data Activate, which lets organizations use existing backup copies to feed AI/ML pipelines in formats like Apache Iceberg and Parquet, and AI Studio, a suite of prebuilt agents and tools for building custom agents with MCP server support. The company is positioning itself in the emerging AI resilience space, emphasizing the need to protect vector databases as a critical component of enterprise AI stacks.
