I have convinced myself of this one too. I stay where I am for peace of mind.
When the reality is, every time I go for a job at BigCorp, I get through the 8 technical interviews perfectly fine and get rejected at the management level. I guess my distain for useless managers comes on a bit strong.

I can relate. I work for small co, and love it. 2 programmers + 1 boss who is mostly hands off. Love it
